Srinagar, Sep 26 (KNS): Additional Director General of Police Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar on Monday identified the pakistani militant who was killed in Kulgam gunfight as Abu Hurarah, a foreign and said that he was linked with proscribed militant outfit Jash-e-Mohammad.
The ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the Killed Miltant has been identified as Abu Hurarah, a foreign Pakistani militant linked with proscribed militant outfit JeM. "Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including AK rifle recovered," he said.
Earlier, an official said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in the area. "As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight," he said.
In the operation, he said that one army soldier and two civilians got injured in the ongoing encounter. "All the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment while the operation is going on," he added.(KNS)
