Felicitate frontline heroes combating corona, abide lockdown: Yudhvir Sethi


Srinagar, April 17 (KNS): Looking into the seriousness shown by the District Administration and selfless service of frontline warriors combating COVID-19 including doctors and para medics, security forces especially police, PDD and PHE work force, sanitation workers, milk, fruit and vegetable vendors, scribes and others ensuring supplies of essentials, this is the right time to felicitate them as a gesture to further inspire them to continue with this extraordinary godly cause of saving humanity from this lethal contagion. This was stated by J&K BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi in statement issued here on Tuesday while honuring the corona warriors at different lovations of Jammu, he said in a statement issued to KNS.
Lauding the local administration for not leaving any stone unturned in fight against coronavirus, he asked the concerned quarters to provide all protective gears to the frontline workers to ensure their safety in order to fortify the health edifice against this invisible and unprecedented threat.
“The jobs being accomplished by the aforesaid frontline army of workers are very difficult and even life-threatening but the enthusiasm shown by these brave men/women is unmatchable and surely deserves kudos from government and the people. The small gesture from government side will go long way in stimulating the desire among these heroes to work more diligently against corona contagion”, he said.
Citing few incidents of defiance of lockdown restrictions by some people, Sethi urged one and all to take lockdown put in place across the country in the wake of coronavirus disease COVID-19 very seriously. He also urged UT administration to ensure rules and laws are implemented without any hanky-panky.
“Some people here are still not taking the lockdown seriously. Please save yourself, save your family, follow the instructions seriously. I request J&K UT government to ensure strict implementation of rules and laws,” he said asking people to remain indoors and spend quality time with their families. (KNS)
