Entrance test clash causes concern among students in Kashmir

Srinagar, June 09 (KNS): A clash in the entrance test schedules of the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (Bopi) and CUET has left hundreds of students worried and unable to participate in both exams in Kashmir, students complained here on Friday.

Students have made appeals to the LG administration and the higher authorities of both institutions, urging them to intervene and resolve the issue.

The Board of Professional Entrance Examinations and CUET had inadvertently scheduled their entrance tests on the same day and date, creating a challenging situation for students who had registered for both exams.

Expressing their concerns, the students explained that they had submitted application forms for both tests and were now facing a predicament where they could only participate in one of the two exams.

According to the affected students, they were instructed to report for the Bopi entrance test at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 11, with the test scheduled to conclude at 2 p.m. However, they discovered that the CUET test was also slated for the same date and day, with a reporting time of 11:45 a.m. This overlap in timing has caused significant problems for the students and their parents.

They expressed their desire to take both tests but were left with no viable option due to the conflicting schedules.

The students further alleged that despite sending complaints via email to the authorities, they were advised to choose one of the two tests. It is estimated that around 600 students are affected by this situation.

They have appealed to both institutions, as well as the LG administration of Jammu and Kashmir, to personally intervene and address the issue. They emphasize the importance of avoiding unnecessary waste of their precious time and efforts.

The students hope that the authorities and institutions will consider their appeal and take prompt action to resolve the clash in the entrance test schedules.(KNS)
