Srinagar, Nov 24 (KNS): JKPC Senior Leader Er Rydham Singh on Tuesday lead a delegation that called on District Development Commissioner Poonch. 

The delegation submitted a memorandum of demands considering the welfare and benefit to the people of the Poonch but to the surrounding areas as well. 

Rydham Singh demanded early restoration of Poonch-Noshera National Highway especially near Omar Colony at Kanuyian. 

"Being the only feasible route that connects the two districts via the National Highway (NH1). People traveling via the route have been complaining about the dilapidated condition of the roads which has deteriorated beyond a point of ignorance especially near Omar Coloney at Kandyan. The commuters mostly patients who are referred to GMC Rajouri or Jammu, even patients critical and in ambulances have been facing difficulties thus demanding an urgent and necessary need for the restoration", he added. 

The delegation also urged the DC to ensure power supply and other facilities to the people of Poonch, especially during the winter months. They also appealed for completion of developmental works as a matter of priority to provide much needed relief for the people. (KNS)
