Shopian, Oct 06 (KNS): Gunfight broke out between militants and Government forces in Sugan village of Heff in south Kashmir’s shopian district on Tuesday evening.
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service said Joint team of Army’s 44 RR CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police jointly launched the Cardon and search operation in the area after getting the specific information of presence militants.
An official said as the joint team of security forces encircled the suspected spot the hiding militants indiscriminately fired upon the forces which was retaliated ensuing the gun battle in the area.
