Bandipora, Jan 04 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler at Nowpora chowk of Bandipora district and recovered contraband drugs from his possession.
According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), acting on a specific information regarding movement of a drug peddler a special naka was laid at Nowpora chowk by a police team led by SHO Bandipora Rayees Ahmad.
The statement reads that during checking one suspicious person was arrested and 28 Strips of contraband drug Proxywell Spas & Sposmoproxyvan Plus were recovered form his possession.
The accused has been identified as Ghulam Mustafa Fafoo son of Ghulam Nabi Fafoo of Ashtengoo Ghat.
It reads that a Case FIR No.02/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered in police station Bandipora and further investigation was taken up. (KNS)
