Srinagar, Aug 13(KNS): Amidst the watchful eye of drone surveillance, a comprehensive three-tier security setup has been established to ensure the smooth execution of the Independence Day festivities in Srinagar, Additional Director General of Police(ADGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar said on Sunday.

"In a bid to bolster security measures, aerial reconnaissance utilizing specialized equipment will be a crucial component," the ADGP said while talking to media persons during a full-dress rehearsal event at the well-fortified Bakshi Stadium Srinagar, as per the KNS Correspondent.


ADGP Kumar also confirmed the meticulous arrangements made for the successful conduct of all Independence Day functions.

Responding to queries regarding the choice of Bakshi Stadium as the venue after a significant period, Kumar expressed his preference for it over the SK Stadium due to better parking and accommodation facilities. He urged the public to participate enthusiastically in the I-Day celebrations.

To ensure smooth traffic flow during the celebrations, the ADGP assured that traffic movement has been meticulously planned according to advisory guidelines.(KNS).
