Dr.Noor Aalam Toofani Memorial Cricket Tournament concluded at FVSc &AH, Shuhama, SKUAST-Kashmir

Srinagar March 13:(KNS)   Dr.Noor Alam Toofani Memorial Cricket Tournament organized by students Welfare office, FVSc &AH, Shuhama, SKUAST-K concluded today at FVSc ground. In the grand Finale Match, Hammad Cricket Club, Shalimar locked horns with T.C.C Shuhama. Playing first Hammad club set a target of 191 in 20 overs for T.C.C, Shuhama. In the mail biting finish T.C.C emerged winners by defeating Hammad Club by one wicket.


Dean, FVSc Prof.M.T Banday was the chief guest on the occasion of  velidictory and prize distribution ceremony. The tournament was organized by Dr.Adual Hai, Dr.Azad Ahmad, Dr.Sajjad Ahmad and Dr.Syed Wasif alongwith the ground staff. Dean in his validictory address, encouraged the students and local youth for more and more sports and physical activities to remain healthy and disease free. Keeping the trend going, in order to encourage "No to Drugs, Yes to Sports" ,Prof. M.T Banday announced another tournament on larger scale in due course of time. Dr. Abdul Hai thanked all the teams for participation and for display of sportsmanship during the tournament.

The final proceedings were conducted by Dr.Sajjad Ahmad Bhat, students Welfare officer of the Faculty. Javaid Ahmad of T.C.C was declared Man of the match. Sadeeq of Hammad club was declared Man of the Tournament. Many individuals prizes were also given away. A large number of students and local youth attended the Prize Distribution ceremony. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr.Syed Wasif, Member of the organizing committee.(KNS)
