Srinagar, 28 July (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have expressed profound grief over the demise of the wife of noted social figure Haji Abdul Rahman Mir of Kupwara.

The deceased was the sister-in-law of senior National Conference leader and MLA Trehgam Mir Saifullah.

The party leadership conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the family to bear the irreparable loss.

National Conference General Secretary Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar, Assistant General Secretary Advocate Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan, Treasurer and Rajya Sabha MP Shammi Oberoi, Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani and Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq also expressed their condolences.

Meanwhile, a condolence meeting was held at the party headquarters under the chairmanship of Provincial President Showkat Ahmad Mir and attended by provincial Secretary Syed Tauqeer, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar and others where prayers were offered for the departed soul and sympathy was conveyed to the bereaved family.(KNS)
