Dr.Farooq, Omar Abdullah condole demise of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan


Srinagar, October 09:(KNS) The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Friday expressed profound grief over the demise of Lok Janshakti Party founder and Union Minister of consumer affairs, food and public distribution Ram Vilas Paswan.

Party President said that his demise marks an end to an era in Bihar politics. “The rise of Mr. Paswan in Bihar and consequently in the country's politics was meteoric. He had not just carved a niche for himself in national politics but was considered to be one of the most prominent leaders in Bihar. I am deeply saddened by the unfortunate news of his sudden passing away. I pay my homage to him and pray for strength to his family, and followers,” he said.

While expressing grief over the demise of Paswan, the Party vice president said, “He had left an indelible impression on Bihar as well as national politics. He has had a chequered political career where he got to be a part of different political combinations and serve the country in various capacities. The news of his passing away has saddened me, I pray for eternal peace to his departed soul and fortitude to the bereaved family, followers and associates of his,” he said.

The duo has in particular extended condolences to incumbent LJP President Chirag Paswan on his irreparable loss.(KNS)
