Srinagar, 23 February:(KNS)  The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Member of Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have expressed deep shock and grief over the death of noted Islamic scholar Manzoor Ahmed Kirmani, who died in a fatal road accident in Kathua.

 In their condolence message, the party duo prayed for peace to the departed and much needed fortitude to the bereaved on their inconsolable loss. They said the passing away of Kirmani Sahib, an erudite personality of Handwara, has created a void in the socio-religious and literary circles of the region.  They said the deceased will be remembered for his services in the field of religion. “We also express our union with them in this difficult time and pray to Almighty to bestow highest echelons to the deceased in Jannat,” they said.

Meantime senior party leader and former MP also participated in the Namaz e Janaza of the deceased.  Later he also extended condolences to the bereaved families on behalf of the party president and vice president.  Among others Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Senior leader Chowdhary Muhammad Ramzan; Party MPs Muhammad Akbar Lone, Hassnain Masoodi; Mir Saifullah, Qaisar Jamsheed Lone, Kafilul Rahman and others have also condoled the demise of Kirmani Sahib, prayed for peace to his soul and forbearance to the bereaved family to bear the inconsolable loss.(KNS)
