DIPR's Cultural unit organizes inter school speech competition as part of Republic Day celebrations

Srinagar January 09 (KNS):  The Cultural Unit (Kashmir) of Department of Information & PR today conducted an Inter School Speech Competition in the run up to the 74th Republic Day Celebrations.


The day long programme was held on the theme: "India of my Dreams: How will India become the most developed nation in the world?" at the Bhajan Sopori Auditorium, DIPR Srinagar. Notably, this programme has been conducted as part of the Aazadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.

In the speech competition students from different Government and Private schools spoke on the given topic. The schools include Governement Higher Secondary Schools of Kothibagh, RajBagh & Nawakadal, Army Public, School, RP School, JK Police Public School, Green Valley Educational Institute, Caset School and Crescent Public school.

Cultural officer kashmir Burhan Hussain, Assistant Director Mrs. Beenish Wani and AECO Shakeel Shan were in the jury while as students, teachers, parents and Information department officials were present on the occasion.

On the occassion, the Cultural Officer Burhan Hussain, informed the gathering that this event is part of a series of youth connect events lined up for celebration of the 74th Republic Day. (KNS)
