Srinagar, August 7 (KNS) : Deputy Inspector General of Police, Maqsood-ul-Zaman, IPS, Overall Supervisory Officer for the Independence Day Parade (IDP) 2026, on Friday reviewed the arrangements and preparedness for the ceremonial Independence Day Parade at APC Zewan, with an emphasis on flawless coordination, participant welfare and maintaining the highest standards of ceremonial excellence.

The DIG convened a meeting of all subordinate supervisory officers and nodal officers from various departments associated with the Independence Day Parade-2026 to assess the preparations for the national event.

During the meeting, the chair was apprised of the status of preparedness by the concerned officers. All aspects related to the conduct of the ceremonial parade were reviewed in detail, while inter-departmental coordination issues were discussed threadbare.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The DIG issued necessary directions to all stakeholders to ensure the successful, smooth and colourful presentation of the Independence Day Parade.

Special emphasis was laid on ensuring comfortable accommodation and timely refreshments for all parade contingents. The chair also stressed the need to maintain high standards of turnout, strengthen coordination among participating units and achieve precision and synchronization in drill to uphold the dignity and ceremonial excellence of the event.

The review meeting underscored the administration's commitment to ensuring that the Independence Day Parade-2026 is conducted in a disciplined, well-coordinated and befitting manner.(KNS)
