Srinagar, Nov 24, (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Inspector General of Police Amit Kumar on Tuesday was  conferred with Shaurya Chakra.

The award was presented to him by President Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Notably, The award was conferred to him for his display of exceptional leadership, indomitable courage and conspicuous bravery in eliminating millitants during an operation in Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
