Demise of Father of Waheed Parra widely Condoled

 Srinagar, Jan 19(KNS): Condolences continue to pour in over the sad demise of Haji Ghulam Ahmad Parra, the father of former Council Secretary and State Youth President of PDP, Waheed ur Rehman Parra. He passed away late at night on Wednesday after a prolonged battle with stage IV cancer at his Naira Pulwama residence.

The 62-year-old Parra, a model apple grower in his region, bravely battled cancer for over a year. The son of a staunch Congressman, he leaves behind three sons and a daughter.

PDP expressed profound grief and sorrow on the demise of Haji Gh Ahmed Parra. In a statement, the party said, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. May Almighty Allah grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah. Ameen."

JKNC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah also expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Haji Ghulam Ahmed Parra, father of Waheed Parra. The duo prayed for peace for the departed soul in the highest echelons of Jannat and fortitude for the bereaved household in their hour of grief.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baigh and DDC Chairperson Baramulla Safina Baigh offered condolences to Parra on the loss of his father. "May the memories of his love and wisdom bring comfort during this difficult time. Sending strength and prayers to him and his family. May the noble soul rest in Jannat," Safina wrote on X, formerly Twitter, while extending sympathy with the bereaved family.

Former legislator and CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami extended condolences to Youth President JKPDP Waheed Para over his father's demise. He prayed for peace for the departed soul in the highest echelons of Jannat and fortitude for the bereaved household in their hour of grief. "I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of late Gulam Ahmad Parra and pray for eternal peace for the departed soul," he said in a statement.

Former Member of Parliament Fayaz Mir also expressed condolences to Waheed Parra on the passing of his father, Haji Ghulam Ahmad Para Sahab. "May Allah grant him peace in the afterlife and may the family find strength through faith during this sorrowful time. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un," he said in a press statement.

General Secretary of People's Conference and Former Minister Imran Raza Ansari also expressed sympathy and condolences with Parra on the passing away of his father Haji Ghulam Ahmad Para.

BJP Leader and Director ICPS Khalid Jahangir also expressed deepest condolences to Waheed Parra and family on the passing away of their beloved father. "He earned respect from the public and his colleagues for his integrity," he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Aligarh Scholars Association also expressed condolences to Waheed Parra. "He has been a noble person with commendable service to the community. May Allah Saw give him the highest reward and fill strength into the family during this difficult time," it said in a statement.

Former MLA Wachi and DDC Member Aijaz Ahmad Wachi also expressed deepest condolences to Parra and his family on the passing of Haji Ghulam Ahmad Para. "May his soul rest in peace, and may you find strength and support during this difficult time," he said.

Former Legislator Yasir Reshi also expressed condolences on the passing of Waheed Parra's father. "May the noble soul find the highest places in Jannat, and prayers to the Almighty for strength and patience to the bereaved. Aameen," Reshi wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Former Member of Parliament Nazir Always also expressed deep sadness to hear about the passing of Parra's father. "May the noble soul find the highest places in Jannat, and prayers to the Almighty for strength and patience to the bereaved. Aameen," he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Meanwhile, Former Srinagar Mayor and Apni party leader Junaid Azim Mattu also expressed condolences to the bereaved Parra family, especially his elder son Waheed Parra. He also visited his native village Pulwama to express condolences to Waheed Parra on the demise of his respected father.

J&K Apni Party Vice President and Former Minister Usman Majid also expressed profound grief and shock over the demise of the father of Parra. He said, "He stands in solidarity with Waheed in this hour of mourning and unimaginable grief and prays to Almighty to give them the strength to bear this inconsolable loss."

After the death of Parra's Father, condolence messages poured in from different shades of life from Jammu and Kashmir and outside the Union Territory, including political parties, bureaucrats, DDC Members, government quarters, MPs, and former sitting ministers and law enforcement quarters as well.(KNS).
