Baramulla, September 21(KNS): District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo chaired a meeting of various concerned officers at Dak Bungalow in order to review the physical and financial achievements made under District Capex Budget 2020-21.The meeting also took an appraisal of the pace and position of various ongoing developmental projects in the district.
Meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, ACD, CEO, heads of various departments, BDOs among other concerned functionaries.
On the occasion, a threadbare discussion on the subject was held during which the DDC took a comprehensive review on the progress of various developmental projects undertaken in Rural Development, power, education, health and other sectors.
DDC stressed for formulating a viable plan and directed the authorities to formulate productive Gram Development Plans in consultation with the concerned stakeholders. He also directed to keep in consideration all the requisite health advisories and SOPs and emphasized for accelerating the pace of work so that desired results are achieved within a time bound manner.
Dr Itoo also reviews the pace and position of various developmental works during which he was briefed by the concerned heads about the same. He exhorted for mobilizing additional men and machinery for completing the projects in stipulated time frame besides exhorted to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.
Meanwhile, various issues and bottlenecks were also highlighted by the concerned officers and sought the speedy disposal of these issues. DDC assured that all the bottlenecks, hampering the path of development shall be sorted out in a time bound manner.
Later, the DDC accompanied by CEO and other concerned functionaries took inspection of various exam centers where the bi-annual 10th class examination has commenced from today. DC took the first hand appraisal of various facilities and arrangements put in place besides reviewing the implementation of COVID-19 related SOPs and guidelines.
On the occasion, DDC directed the concerned authorities to ensure that the exam is conducted in a fair and transparent manner. He also urged to follow all the requisite SOPs especially using face masks and maintaining social distancing so that the risk of infection is mitigated.(KN
