CRPF organizes free medical in Srinagar, distributes medicine

Srinagar June 14 (KNS): The Central Reserve Police Force on Wednesday organized a free medical camp at Shahid Abdul Qadir Community Facility Centre at Maisuma.

According a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), reads that in a one of its kind effort, the team of Officers and doctors 28 Bn, CRPF located at Bemina, reached out to the people of Srinagar at Shahid Abdul Qadir Community Facility Centre at Maisuma on 14 June 2023 by organizing a Free health camp for checkups of diabetes and blood pressure. This camp was inaugurated by an elderly man in the presence of Rajesh Sankhla, Commandant of 28th Battalion CRPF and other Officers of the unit, including Manoj Dang, Second-in-Command, Smt Mukesh Dy Commandant, Ajay Pal Asst Comdt, Amit Kumar Asst Comdt and Dr Suneem, Medical Officer. During this camp free medicines to the needy were also distributed. A large number of local people, including old aged persons and women turned up and got benefitted from this camp.

Addressing the media, Commandant Rajesh Sankhla said that, “CRPF regularly organizes these kinds of camps under the ‘Civic Action Programme’ to reach out underprivileged and needy people.  CRPF conducts such programmes to develop good relations with locals and to help them in their difficult times.”

Commandant Rajesh Sankhla also played a friendly cricket game with the local children and distributed cricket bats and chocolates to them. The local people of the area expressed their happiness and gratitude towards the efforts made by 28th Bn CRPF for creating a friendly environment in the area and developing good relations among the force and local public through their programs and by organising such medical camps.(KNS)
