Baramulla, June 12(KNS): Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo accompanied by SSP Baramulla Ab Qayoom today inspects several locations of Baramulla town in order to review the implementation of SOPs and guidelines that have been issued in the wake of administration's decision of unlocking COVID-19 lockdown.

On the occasion, DC took a detailed appraisal of the situation during which he emphasized to follow the issued guidelines in letter and spirit. He directed the concerned agencies to ensure that all SOPs especially odd-even system of shops, social distancing, using of face masks are being followed by all the stakeholders.

Dr itoo exhorted upon the shopkeepers to abide by the guidelines issued by the administration in the interest of public health. He said that such measures were taken to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 infection.

Meanwhile, DC also inspects some clinics, nursing home and other medical stores where he took appraisal of the situation. He stressed upon them to follow all SOPs failing which shall render strict legal action against the violators.

Dr Itoo also urged the people to use face masks and avoid unnecessary travel and gatherings so that they can save themselves from any kind of eventuality.(KNS)
