Srinagar Juuly 07 (KNS): The mother of Prof (Dr.) Khawaja Naveed Qaiser, Controller of Examination and Ex-Dean, Faculty of Forestry, Sher-e-Kashmir university of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) passed away in the morning hours at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. A Condolence meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Dean, FoF, Prof. Sajad A Gangoo who said while paying tributes to the departed soul, that the mother of Prof Naveed was a pious lady and has visited the faculty many a times, when Naveed sb was heading the faculty.
He prayed for the departed soul. Dr GM Bhat , Head, Silviculture and Agroforestry while paying tributes said that Prof Naveed was much more attached with his mother and this is a great loss to all of us especially his son. We are all with him in this hour of grief. Prof PA Khan and Prof Akhlaq A wani also prayed for the departed soul.
Dr Naseem Geelani, Head ,Social and Basic Sciences , while paying tributes to the mother of Prof Naveed said that we rarely find Aulad (Kids) like Naveed sb who was taking care of his mother in every respect , because in this era of materialism, we forget the duties towards our parents. If our parents are living, we should take care of them or have left this world, we should always pray for their magfirat. At the end a Dua –i-majlis was conducted in which all Scientific and non Scientific staff prayed for the magfirat of the departed soul and courage for the family to bear this loss.(KNS)
