Urges Lt. Governor to address this humanitarian issue

Srinagar April 20,(KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Monday questioned the UT Administration over failing to bring back stranded students and Labourers from various parts of the Country and sought their immediate return.
The Party has also questioned that when UP, Gujrat and Bihar Govts could bring their people back to their states, why the JK administration seems reluctant to adopt the same policy.
In a statement issued to KNS, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir has slammed the UT Administration over not bringing back the students and labourers stranded in other States to their homes, describing this attitude of the as very fortunate and heart burning.
Mir expressed disappointment over the difficulties confronting stranded people, saying that UT administration must focus on this humanitarian issues and take effective measures to bring stranded people back to their homes, he said.
The UP, Gujrat and Bihar Governments have brought their people back to their homes within no time, what is the problem with the JK administration, why the decision about their return was not taken so far, G.A. Mir questioned, reiterating that apart from other addressing other issues, the administration must bring back the stranded people, on war footing basis.
I would urge upon the Lt. Governor GC murmur to have the matter sorted out by attaching huge importance to this humanitarian issue inorder to ensure they (Students , Laboures) reach their homes, at the earliest, keeping inview the simmering summer and upcoming Holy Month of Ramadhan, G.A. Mir added and sought immediate action by the administration, in this direction.(KNS)
