Srinagar, Nov 14 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Sunday paid glowing tributes to Pt.Jawharlal Nehru on his 132nd birth anniversary.

JKPCC also recalled the great contributions of first Prime Minister to inclusive development of Modern India.

Srinagar District Congress Committee in a function at Srinagar Party Office paid floral tributes to first Prime Minister of India Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru on his 132nd birth anniversary and recalled his selfless services rendered to the Nation.

Srinagar DCC President Abdul Gani Khan, who presided over the function described Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru a man of development, visionary and a statesman.

The five year reconstruction programme launched by Pt.Ji greatly contributed to India’s inclusive development in every sector with the result, the Nation achieved milestone in respect of development, economy, defense, education, communication and other fields.

Those who say India has not achieved enough during last 75 years must know, if they were enjoying the fruits of development that is due to the struggle and sacrifices given by the Congress party under the leadership of Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru, DCC President Khan said.

Those who paid floral tributes to Pt.Jawahar Lal Nehru included Shameema Iqbal, Umer Jaan, Mir Ruvais, Shameema Raina, Amir Rasool, Gh.Mohd Sheikh, Beigh Asif, Shameema Khan, Zulfkar Qureshi, Mohd Ashraf, Saira Sameer, Haleem Khan, javed Ahmad, Muzaffar Shah, Anees Gul, Rahila, Gulzar Ahmad and others.

On this occasion dozens of political workers from Hazratbal constituency joined Congress and expressed their full faith in the programmes and policies of the Party.
