Congress observe Jan Sewa Divas, Vows continue to help people

Srinagar June 19 (KNS): J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC)on Saturday observed Jan Sewa Divas on the birth day of Rahul Gandhi by distributing relief among poor and needy people in various districts of Kashmir.

JKPCC General secretary Surinder Singh Channi organized relief distribution events in Tral area of Pulwama District and in Srinagar, where he provided ration kits to needy people.

On this occasion, JKPCC General Secretary stated that it was symbolic effort to help needy and poor on the birth of day our beloved leader Rahul Gandhi, who decided not to celebrate the occasion and directed the party leaders and workers to extend help to poor and needy on his Birth Day.

District Congress Committee Anantnag led by Former Legislator and Senior Congress Leader Gulzar Ahmad Wani also organized relief distribution event in Anantnag District, he was accompanied by PCC Secretary Mohd Iqbal Mir and various other leaders.

Rahul Gandhi is highly concerned about the people especially poor and downtrodden who are worst hit due to the covid crisis and decided not to celebrate his birth day, Wani added and hit out at the Centre for failing to address people’s miseries.

Similar events were held in various other districts in Kashmir where District Presidents, Senior Congress leaders and workers observed Jan Sewa Divas by distributing relief among the deserving people, with great enthusiasm.

Youth Congress leader Manpreet Singh also distributed relief among the people and vowed to continue to work for wellbeing of the people.(KNS)
