Civilian injured in cross border shelling succumbs

Kupwara August 07 (KNS): A 40-yr old civilian who had recieved injuries during cross border shelling in north Kashmir's Kupwara district has succumbed to his injures.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mohammad Arif son of Alif-ud-Din resident of Shamaspora Baghbela of Karnah tehsil succumbed to his injures at Kupwara hospital.

According to hospital sources, the other five persons who were injured in cross border shelling in Kupwara are said to be out of danger.

A police officer while talking to KNS also confirmed the death of a civilian.

Pertinently on Friday wee hours, guns start roaring in border villages of Kupwara after armies from both sides trade heavy exchange of fire resulting in injuries to atleast six civilians who were evacuated to Kupwara hospital for treatment. (KNS)
