Srinagar December 22 (KNS): Civil Society Of Rafiabad, Dangiwacha organised a Majlis E Taaziya at the residence of Late Hafeeza Masoodi mother of Dr.Rafeeq Masoodi,Adv Javed Masoodi ,Grandmother of Adv Qazi Raashid ,Salman Qazi of DD,Er.Suhail & Er.syed Tameem who left for her heavenly abode last Friday.
Majlis started with 7 times Quraan Khwani followed by Awrad e Sharif.All members of Civil society,Traders federations,Transporters& people in general drawn from all walks & religions of life paid glorious tributes to Late Hafeeza Masoodi.
Speakers recalled her tremendous contribution in the field of educationist general & women empowerment in particular from 50s till her retirement in 1992...Her taught are holding high posts & have created a niche for themselves in various spheres of life.
Basharat Meraj chairman of the RCS recalled her dedication to Rafibad & women folks in particular & had a praise for her WILL that after her death no non-vegetarian food be cooked for 4 days to send a message to the society to get away from this as ,he said,we have seen that poor people take loans to serve food to neighbours & relatives & Dr.Masoodi's this initiative will ,Inshaallah, send a strong message to the society.
Prof.Ashraf former principal of GDC sopore mentioned her philanthropic works to which he stands witness for many years.
In a jam-packed hall people were seen in tears & emotions during this all religion session...in the last Dr.Rafeeq Masoodi Former ADG Doordarshan, former secretary cultural academy & patron of Adbi Markaz Kamraz (AMK)thanked each & every person for standing bye us all in the time of grief & sorrow.(KNS)
