Chadora Shopkeepers seeking restoration of commercial activities in the Town.

Budgam, June 27:(KNS) The people of Chadora Budgam on Saturday urged the administration to allow them to resume the commercial activities which are suspended in the town. The Chadora has been earlier declared buffer zone and the administration has ordered no inward or outward movement from the zone and the people shall stay indoors strictly. Chadora in the central Kashmir of Budgam has been declared buffer zone to the North across the bridge. There around 1000 thousand shops operating in the market but since the administration has declared the market buffer zone, the shopkeepers are not being allowed to open the shops and leaving an impact over the daily life of the people.
A shopkeeper from the Chadora market told to KNS, that we have been from long in lockdown and causing a huge pain to the shopkeepers and vendors. This lockdown is hitting our daily bread, we have taken loan from banks and we are not able to pay installments. It’s our request to administration that allows us to open shops, under proper guidelines and SOP, he said.
While talking to SDM, Chadora Prince Hamid, he said that we have 7 positive cases from the Chadora area, and cannot take risk. I understand the pain the shopkeepers and other are passing, but I am sorry for sometime they have to corporate. Once the number of Covid patients goes down in the area, we will allow them to resume commercial and other activities.(KNS)
