Centre declares Masarat Alam led Muslim League J&K as ‘unlawful association’

Srinagar, Dec 27 (KNS): In a significant move, the government, led by Home Minister Amit Shah, has declared the 'Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masarat Alam faction)' (MLJK-MA) as an 'Unlawful Association' under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Home Minister Amit Shah announced the decision, citing the MLJK-MA's purported involvement in supporting terrorist activities and inciting individuals in Jammu and Kashmir. 

"The ‘Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masarat Alam faction)’/MLJK-MA is declared as an 'Unlawful Association' under UAPA," tje Union home minster Amit Shah said via a post on X formally known as Twitter 

"This organization and its members are involved in anti-national and secessionist activities in J&K supporting terrorist activities and inciting people to establish Islamic rule in J&K," he said.

"The PM @narendramodi government's message is loud and clear that anyone acting against the unity, sovereignty, and integrity of our nation will not be spared and face the full wrath of the law," he added.(KNS)
