Centre allocates Rs 37,277 crore to J&K in union budget 2024


New Delhi, Feb 01 (KNS): The Centre on Wednesday allocated Rs 37,277.74 crore to Jammu and Kashmir for the financial year 2024-25 as union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the interim budget on Wednesday. 

Per details available with KNS, of Rs 37277. 74, Rs 35,619.30 crore have been kept for bridging resource gap in the Union Territory.

Nirmala Sitharaman presented the interim budget in the Lok Sabha today. This is the last budget by PM Modi led government ahead of the Lok Sabha elections this year. 

The general elections are slated to be held between April and May this year. (KNS)
