Srinagar, June 15 (KNS): The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCIK) on Monday urged the administration to expedite final preparations for the holy month of Muharram across Jammu and Kashmir, emphasising seamless arrangements for the convenience and safety of devotees.
In a statement, CCIK president Tariq Ghani appealed to the Honourable Chief Minister and all concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, proper healthcare services, sanitation, traffic management, and macadamisation of roads, particularly in Shia-majority areas.

Ghani said the month of Muharram teaches the principles of brotherhood, love, respect, and the true teachings of Islam. He called for special arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of Muharram processions across the valley. (KNS)
