CCIK Delegation Holds Productive Meeting with Chairperson of State Hajj Committee

 Srinagar, June 01(KNS): A highly meeting took place at the prestigious Hajj House between the prominent Council of Communities and Islamic Culture Kashmir (CCIK) delegation and the esteemed Chairperson of the State Hajj Committee, Safeena Beigh. 

The meeting served as a platform for CCIK to raise pressing concerns surrounding Hajj 2023 and discuss vital matters pertaining to the pilgrimage.

 

With a primary focus on ensuring a seamless and memorable Hajj experience for the thousands of devotees from Jammu and Kashmir, the CCIK delegation, led by President Mr Tariq Ghani, engaged in an in-depth dialogue with Chairperson Ms Safeena Beigh. The delegation presented various concerns, including the high Hajj fare, necessary arrangements for the pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, flight schedules, as well as facilities at the Hajj House and Srinagar airport.

 

Demonstrating her commitment to address the issues at hand, Chairperson Safeena Beigh attentively listened to the delegation's remarks, displaying a deep sense of empathy and understanding. She assured the CCIK representatives that the State Hajj Committee had meticulously prepared and made extensive arrangements to cater to the needs of the pilgrims participating in Hajj 2023.

 

Addressing the concern over the rising airfare, Chairperson Beigh acknowledged the apprehension surrounding the increased Hajj tariff, assuring the delegation that the Hajj committee was diligently working towards negotiating and reducing airfares. She emphasized that achieving a more affordable Hajj package would alleviate a significant burden from the devoted pilgrims.

 

In a groundbreaking development, Chairperson Safeena Beigh revealed that Jammu and Kashmir had secured a remarkable Hajj quota of over 12,000 seats for the first time in its history. This momentous announcement brought renewed hope and excitement to the CCIK delegation and the entire community, signifying the state's growing prominence in the realm of Hajj.
