CBK charge sheets man for producing forged order to secure promotion in Tourism deptt

Srinagar, Nov 02 (KNS): The Crime Branch Kashmir on Tuesday said that it produced a charge sheet against a person for obtaining and producing forged documents to secure promotion in Tourism department.

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that the Crime Branch Kashmir Presented Charge Sheet in case FIR No: 34/2010 P/S CBK on 30.10.2021 before the Court of Passenger Tax, Srinagar.

“The Crime Branch Kashmir has produced Charge-sheet of Case FIR No: 34 of 2010 U/S 420,468,471 RPC of P/S CBK, against one Sonullah Buhroo son of Ghulam Ahmad Buhroo of Nadihal Bandipora (Chowkidar Class IV) Department of Tourism Kashmir before the Court of Passenger Tax, Srinagar,” reads the statement.

It reads that the Crime Branch Kashmir received a communication from Deputy Director Tourism Kashmir, alleging therein that Sonaullah Bhuroo has been shown adjusted against the available post of Sr. Yatchman and placed in the grade of 4000-6000 till he successfully completes two year probation. 

“The order in question is fake and forged and has not been issued by the department to whom its issuance is attributed. Accordingly, FIR was registered, during the course of investigation there was no averment to this effect that the promotion of the accused in the department of Tourism was on the basis of genuine promotion,” it reads.

It reads that the accused secured his promotion as Sr. Yatchman on the basis of a fake and forged promotion order. 

“Besides, under the Subordinate Recruitment Rules of J&K Tourism Department, the accused was not eligible for Sr. Yatchman not even junior Assistant.”

The statement further reads that during investigation it has been established that the accused has managed the alleged promotion order fraudulently and dishonestly and produced the same before the concerned department. (KNS)
