Handwara, July 02 (KNS): Casual and daily wage employees of several departments on Thursday staged a protest in Handwara and appealed authorities to release their pending wages besides regularizing their services.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), casual laborers and daily wagers working in Irrigation & Flood Control, Forest and Jal Shakti departments assembled at Handwara main chowk and started protests for fulfillment of their pending demands. Protesters were carrying banners and placards with script demanding authorities to release their pending wages and regularize their services.
“We are serving departments from several years tirelessly but have not been regularized yet”, protestors told KNS.
They appealed authorities to take concrete steps for regularizing their services and release their pending wages in wake of Covid-19 pandemic. (KNS)
