BSF shot dead Pak intruder in Uri

Uri, Sept 15 (KNS): Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday claimed to have shot dead a Pakistani intruder in north Kashmir's Uri.

Defense spokesperson told KNS that at about 1415hr an individual was observed moving suspiciously across the fence ahead of own Post at Dhulanja Coy/70 Bn BSF by the sentry.

He said the intruder was challenged on which he hide behind a tree. On warning that he will be fired upon , if he didn't come out with hands above, the intruder came out and was asked to walk towards the fence, with due caution.

"Subsequently the intruder came close to the fence and threw some papers across the fence. The same were being checked. The intruder was asked to strip for closer search. He ran back and after repeated verbal warnings the intruder was shot by the sentry", defense spokesperson said.

He added the intruder had fallen on the ground across fence and likely to be fatal. (KNS)
