BSF, Army on LoC ready to thwart any infiltration attempts ahead of Elections: IG BSF Kmr Frontier

Srinagar, Mar 29 (KNS): In anticipation of the forthcoming Parliamentary elections, Border Security Forces (BSF) personnel, deputed alongside the Army on the Line of Control (LoC), have intensified their vigilance to counter any potential infiltration bids from across the border.

BSF Inspector General (Kashmir Frontier), Ashok Yadav, addressed reporters, highlighting the preparedness of the security forces amidst the electoral season.

Yadav emphasized, “During this critical electoral period, we stand prepared to counter any infiltration endeavors. Our ongoing area domination exercises attest to our readiness.”

Expanding on the operational approach, Yadav revealed, “Our strategy involves comprehensive planning to assert control over targeted regions. We've meticulously crafted vulnerability maps, guiding our area domination exercises. With these measures in place, our forces possess the capability to thwart any infiltration endeavors.”

Yadav reiterated, "We are fully committed to ensuring the smooth conduct of elections, and we will take all necessary measures to achieve that goal."

Ashok Yadav, expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness along the borders, stating firmly, "We stand ready to counter any infiltration attempt, given the significant deployment of our forces across the hinterland."

Recognizing the heightened risk during pivotal events, Yadav stressed the imperative of fortifying the security apparatus. "In anticipation of the upcoming Parliamentary elections, we have bolstered the security grid. There is a perpetual risk of heightened infiltration attempts during such crucial periods," he warned.

Yadav shed light on the vulnerability analysis undertaken by the security forces, taking into account factors like the melting of snow, which could facilitate infiltration. "We have conducted a thorough vulnerability analysis, considering various factors including the melting of snow, which may aid infiltration efforts," he explained.

Regarding deployment specifics, Yadav confirmed the dispatch of sixty-five companies to the Kashmir valley. This deployment serves to reinforce the existing security infrastructure, ensuring a robust defense mechanism in place ahead of the elections.(KNS)
