Border town of Karnah is currently under grip of Cricket fever as Media association Karnah Launched 'Media cup 2022'

Karnah, Aug 27: (KNS) The border town of Karnah is currently under grip of Cricket fever as Media association Karnah launched '' Media cup 2022'' Cricket tournament with an aim to infuse sportsmanship and to provide perfect plateform to the young cricketers of this border town.
The inaugural match of the tourny was played at Chamkote army ground between Chamkote 11 VS Nachyain on 21st of this month the match and opening ceremony was attended by official and officers from army and civil administration including Tehsildar Karnah, SHO Karnah, BDO Tanghdar, representative's from sports association Karnah (SAK), Karnah cricket Association (KCA) and locals of the area.
A total of 32 teams were participated in the tournament and were played on knockout basis.
The tournament sponsored by political and social activist of Karnah beside shakti vijay brigade of Indian Army play a key role in organising this tournament, Army provide two play ground Chamkote Army ground and Shaan-e -Teetwal Cricket ground for organising this tournament.
The young cricketers show their energies and positively engagement in Media Cup 2022 Raja Hamid a player said, “I played for Nachyain team. I thank the Media association Karnah. The matches were well organized. The cricket ground was well maintained. We enjoyed playing the match. We are working towards developing our physical fitness.”
Another young cricketer Wasil while talking to KNS said “Despite Media person have thier own professional work they organised the cricket tournament such and give us a chance to work on our fitness. We enjoyed playing the match. I thank the efforts of the Media association Karnah.
It is pertinent to mention that the Army's Shakti vijays Brigade, Karnah Cricket Association (KCA) and sport Association Karnah (SAK) had organized different sporting events in this border town to promote physical activity among youth and divert their energy towards a positive direction.(KNS)
