Srinagar, Apr 16 (KNS): A boat capsized in the Jhelum river in the outskirts of Srinagar on Tuesday with some people feared missing, officials said.
An official said that soon after the incident a rescue operation was launched even as several people are feared missing.
The incident took place near Batwara area of Srinagar with officials saying the boat was carrying children.
Incessant rains over the last couple of days have led to an increase in the water levels of several water bodies, including the Jhelum. (KNS)
