BDC Mawer chairs council meeting & kick started academic classes for 10th class at GGHS Qalamabad

Srinagar, Aug 31 (KNS): Block development council Mawer met under the supervision of chairman Tahir Ahmad at Reshwari to review the developmental projects, approved state land compensation plan & other important issues of the block were discussed as well.
According to statement issued to KNS reads, Besides members of council, Member secretary Nadeem Sb, Deputy chairman Mohd Ashraf were also present in the meeting.
Moreover the pending developmental workers were also discussed like NTPHC Nowgam, Rest house Monbal, Indoor stadium Maratgam, Auditorium complex Hangah, Bypass road Maratgam connecting Langate , fly over GHSS Qalamabad, PHE defung schemes etc. These projects have already being taken by the department since two or more years but need more funding to make these aspiration projects functional.
In coming days Bangus festival will be organised by the block development council Mawer.
Before the council meeting Tahir Ahmad visited Govt. Girls High school Qalamabad, where he kick started the academic classes for 10th class. In the meeting Tahir Ahmad stressed on the staff to start the academic classes under SOPs as we can’t wait for education. Since abrogation of article 370 & then covid pandemic our students have suffered a lot.
On the occasion Tahir Ahmad distributed masks, immunity booster medicine among the students. On demand of staff he allocated 2lac for the drainage of the school & directed sarpanch to start work within a week. So that school may functional without any hesitation.
He assured of all help to the education institutes from PRIs of the Mawer block (KNS)
