BCCI mulling to bring J&K female players to fore: Mithali Raj

Srinagar August 27 (KNS): Former Indian Women Cricket Team Captian, Mithali Raj Sunday praised the talent of J&K female cricket players and said, "BCCI is doing best to bring J&K female players to fore".

"Women in J&K have a lot of potential and cricketing talent but there is a need to provide them right platform and facilities so that they will showcase their talent and excel in their life," Mithali Raj, the former Indian Women Cricket Team Captain as per KNS said.

She said that BCCI is doing its best to bring female players from J&K. "For the last 2-3 years BCCI has been conducting talent hunts and I'm sure we will get good cricketers from J&K," she said.

She hoped that in coming two-three years many female players will come from J&K who will represent in team India and will bring laurels to the nation.

Mithali at the occasion advocated for handsome perks for female players of J&K, adding "J&K female players also should be given same incentives and perks the others female players of country are getting". (KNS)
