Baramulla Police crackdowns on stunt bikers; 3 bikers booked, two wheelers seized

Srinagar, June 04(KNS): Baramulla Police  initiated a robust drive to contain and effectively eradicate the incessant traffic violations that has been witnessed over the last few months and which has resulted in a spate of accidents and casualties.

 
"The focus was particularly on stunt biking, rash and negligent driving. Today Police Station Baramulla led by DySP Prob Naveed Shokat, SHO PS Baramulla seized 3 two wheelers who were found involved in stunt biking in Town Baramulla and 3 violators  were booked who were  later identified as Umar Hassan Dar S/O Mohd Maqbool Dar R/O Renji Pattan, Faheem Maqbool Tantary S/O Mohd Maqbool Tantary R/O Shirpora Pattan & Sahid Ahmad Dar S/O Mohd Abdullah Dad R/O Puthar Tappar Pattan," said the police in a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS).
 
"Case FIR under relevant sections of law registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation taken up. The purpose of the drive is to check and eradicate traffic violation and provide a safe road for law abiding citizens. It was also envisaged to act as a deterrent for future violators," it said.
 
The General Public has appreciated the efforts of Baramulla Police in keeping a close check on the violators and is ensuring a safe movement of the public on roads and a healthy stay at public places. People are requested to ride carefully, wear helmets and follow traffic rules.(KNS).
