B2V III: Dir Horticulture listen grievances in Bandipora


Srinagar, Oct 03 (KNS): Under Government initiative of “Back to Village 3” to reach out to people to listen, address to their grievances, Director Horticulture Kashmir Ajaz Ahmad Bhat-KAS, accompanied by concerned Chief Horticulture Officer, SDPO, Tehsildar, Block Development Officer besides concerned BDC Chairman and Sarpanch today visited Panchayat Khumbrayal, District Bandipora.
According to Kashmir News Service, a Gram Sabha was convened wherein large number of public was present. Matters concerning the welfare of general public were discussed and many issues put forth by the public like power supply for at least 7 hours daily, compensation of snow damage, repair/renovation of School, dearth of staff in Government offices. Dwelling in detail on the issues, the Director assured the public for taking up the issues for redressal with the concerned agencies.
During the Gram Sabha, domicile certificates were issued, Director Horticulture distributed stationary items, horticulture implements besides social welfare kits among the beneficiaries. Lists of various developmental works in the panchayat, PM AwasYogna were made public. Horticulture Department also disturbed Poly Green Houses. Director Horticulture presented “Coffee Table Book” to Chairperson BDC Mst. Famida Begum.
Later Director Horticulture made a round of Degree College, Fishery Farm and inspected various MGNREGA works. Director stressed the need for conservation of water resources in the area. He also instructed the concerned agency for snow clearance in the area on priority during winter to mitigate the sufferings of public.(KNS)
