Jammu, July 22 (KNS): Former chief minister J&K Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday expressed grief over the loss of lives in rain-related incidents across Jammu and Kashmir and condemned the killing of a policeman in the terrorist attack in Anantnag.
In a statement, Azad conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the natural calamities triggered by the prevailing inclement weather and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
He also expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the weather-related incidents.
Condemning the killing of a police constable in the terrorist attack in Anantnag, Azad termed the incident a cowardly act and extended his condolences to the family of the slain policeman.
He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
Azad also urged the administration to ensure timely relief and assistance to the affected families and reiterated the need for collective efforts to tackle the challenges posed by the ongoing adverse weather conditions.(KNS).
