Awami Action Committee pays tribute to Mirwaiz Moulvi Farooq, Gani Lone, Hawal martyrs on their anniversary

Srinagar,17 May (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) paid glorious tribute to its founder, the distinguished religious scholar, preacher and illustrious political leader Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq (RA) on his 31st martyrdom anniversary. It also paid tributes to the Martyrs of Hawal and to shaheed e Hurriyat Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone on his 19th martyrdom anniversary.

In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), AAC said that the various commemorative functions held each year to pay tributes to the late leader over a period of one week called 'Hafta-e-Shahaadat', which included organising free medical and blood donation camps and seminars stand cancelled as the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is ravaging through J&K.

Collective Fateha prayers at the Martyrs graveyard Eidgah to honour Shaheed-e-Millat, Shaheed-e-Hurriyat and the martyrs of Hawal stand postponed due to the covid circumstances.

Awami Action Committee appealed to people and Imams of masjids to remember the beloved Martyed leader in their prayers and pray for his highest status in Jannah as well as for Shaheed-e-Hurriyat, Hawal Martyrs and all the martyrs since 1931. (KNS)
