Assembly elections in J&K will take place before Sept 2024: Tarun Chugh

Srinagar, Feb 10 (KNS): BJP National General Secretary and In-Charge J&K Tarun Chugh Saturday said that Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir will be held before September 2024. He however said that it is ECI who has take final call on its schedule.


Chugh told KNS that BJP is ready for elections and wants Assembly elections in the Union Territory at the earliest. He said that though Election Comission of India has to take final call on election schedule, but it is already decided that elections will take place before September 2024.

He said after August 5, 2019 the J&K has started the journey of peace, prosperity and development. "Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi the BJP government has empowered people of J&K in every respect. The ignored sections of the society have been roped in reserved category, who erstwhile faced lots of cruelty at the hands of regional political parties. They used deprived sections of the society for their vote bank, but PM Modi reformed the structure and brought them to fore," Chugh said. (KNS)
