Bandipora, Mar 05:(KNS) A free hi-tech gym centre- ‘Chinar Youth Club’- housed in Kharpora army's 14RR unit was inaugurated on Saturday in North kashmir's Bandipora district.
The gym center amid large youth gathering was inaugurated by Faisal Ali Dar who is an Indian sports enthusiast, and first person to receive the Padma Shri Award in sports from Jammu and Kashmir in presence of CO-14RR Ajay Singh Rawat and other officers
Stressing on to the importance of physical wellness and fitness, Mr. Faisal said that people particularly youth should engage in gymnasium and sports to maintain fitness.
Furthermore the Commanding officer of 14RR inspected all the equipment installed in the Gym center and interacted with the local youth present there.
He also advised them to take full advantage of the equipment which has been installed. Besides the CO assured them every possible support in future regarding sports activities.
Meanwhile, the locals hailed the efforts of the army for providing them free fitness service in the area.(KNS)
