Sahit academy Delhi organises one day seminar in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 25 (KNS): One day seminar was organised by Sahit academy Delhi on the topic of Jammu Kashmir Punjabi fiction yesterday at Shanshah Palace Hotel in Srinagar.
The inaugural session was started with the key note addressed by Dr. Manmohan, a leading poet, novelist and critic of Punjabi in which he touched upon the cultural and literacy history of Punjabi fiction of Jammu & Kashmir.
Manmohan further said that the fiction in Punjabi which is being written is based on authentic main festation of the experience of writers and it is unique because of its language and fictional devices.
On that occasion, the welcome address was given by Dr. Baljit Kaur Head Punjabi Department Jammu university.
The session was presided by Dr. Deepak Manmohan Singh and the Chief guest was Dr.Vanita.
Subsequently, the business session was presided by the leading fiction writer of Jammu & Kashmir Sh.Kanwal Kashmiri.
In this session, Dr.Pritam Singh read his paper on nationalism and Punjabi short stories of J&K, 2nd paper was read by Sh.Daljit Singh a research scholar of Delhi University on bar story writers including Khalid Hussain, R.S.Rajan and other 3rd paper was read by Dr. Kusam on ten short stories of Punjabi, Rajbeer Singh read the paper on culture studies of noval shikargah written by Surinder neer.
In the last Dr.Bhiminder Singh of Punjabi university of Patila read the paper on over all contributions of Punjabi fiction of J&K.
The third session was of stories recitation which was presided by Noor Shah of Urdu fiction and the chief guest was janab wehshe sayad, a leading urdu short stories writer.This session was conducted by Dr.Ravi Ravinder of Delhi University.
As per the concerned officials, the seminar was attended by many important writers of J&K including Hasrat Gudda,Kawal Kashmiri, Kirat Singh Inqlabi,Ajit Singh Mastan,Joginder singh Rana, Tajinder Singh Pandh, and Gurcharan Singh Raina.
During the seminar, it was decided that sahit academy would organises a similar seminar a different literary genre in next year at some other place in J&K. (KNS)
