Oppn alleges contradictions in figures of regularization plan for casual labors

Govt hiding facts, figures on backdoor appointments in JK Bank


Jammu, Jan 30 (KNS): Members of opposition National Conference here on Tuesday sought clarifications from the government on contradictions in the figures of the regularization of casual labors and backdoor appointments in Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
According to the KNS correspondent, the question raised by NC MLA Pahalgam Altaf Wani sought clarification from the government as whether government commits itself to regularize 60 thousand casual labors announced by the Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu within and outside the house or it plans to regularize more than one lakh casual labors as mentioned in the written replies of several questions on the issue raised by the opposition members in the house.
Other National Conference members who moved the supplementaries over the issue include Ali Mohammad Sagar and Abdul Majeed Larmi who also alleged that government is trying its best to burry under the carpet the details about the backdoor appointments in Jammu and Kashmir bank just to regularize the affiliations of party workers of ruling PDP-BJP combine under the garb of regularization plan for daily wagers.
They claimed that the financial position of Jammu and Kashmir bank has been so badly hit that people are now tending to withdraw deposits from the bank and close the accounts. (KNS)
