Srinagar, Aug 21 (KNS): Markets wear a festive look as thousands throng markets in the busy commercial hubs in Srinagar and major towns of Kashmir valley.
According to the KNS correspondent, the intense traffic james and movement of pedestrians have caused huge inconvenience to the people at most of the places in uptown Srinagar. People park their vehicles on road sides and prefer to walk on foot to reach shops and bakery outlets for purchases. Traffic cops face a tough time in clearing the roads for the top officials of the government who too move around busy markets for purchases in Srinagar. The unprecedented rush in the markets is likely to continue till late evening hours as the Eid celebrations are at its peak.
Eid-ul-Azha is scheduled to be celebrated across the state with traditional gaitey and fervor. In every nook and corner of the markets people are also seen buying sacrificial lambs at attractive places. (KNS)
