Kashmir issue outcome of broken promises: JKDFP

Terms current situation in JK as ‘volcanic’

Srinagar, Sep 10 (KNS): Terming the current situation of the ‘disputed region’ as volcanic, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) today said that heavy presence of government forces in populated areas has turned the condition dangerous and hazardous.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the JKDFP spokesperson urged both India and Pakistan to make history by addressing the Kashmir issue in its right perspective. He said that otherwise history won’t forgive them for any negligence in this regard.
“The people of Jammu Kashmir desperately want that sincere steps are taken towards the resolution process and for this all have to contribute. Utilizing funds for race of arms needs to be stopped. New Delhi and Islamabad must concentrate on well-being of the people living in the south Asian region and join hands to resolve the long pending Kashmir dispute,” he said.
The JKDFP spokesperson praised the people of Kashmir for their commitment and steadfastness and assured them that their sacrifices and efforts will bear fruits.
He said that India must understand the fact that people of Kashmir are not demanding for anything which India owns nor they want to snatch anything from it. “Instead our issue is the outcome of broken promises and world bodies stand witness that India is a signatory to the fact that people of Jammu and Kashmir would be given right to decide their political destiny,” he said.
“People of Jammu Kashmir want to know that despite 18 resolutions accepted and passed in the UNO why are not these implemented in letter and spirit, as was done in Croatia and South Sudan,” JKDFP spokesperson added. (KNS)
