Congress delegation restricted from visiting Khanqa Moula Shrine: Spokesman

Srinagar, Nov 18 ( KNS): A high level delegation of Congress Party was scheduled to visit Khanaqa Moula Shrine today, but the authorities restricted their movement for unknown reasons, party spokesman said today.
He said the delegation was to be headed by former minister and senior leader Peerzada Mohd Syed. The other Members of the delegation comprised former ministercTaj Mohi U Din, Faroq Andrabi, Abdul Gani Khan, Irfan Naqib and various other senior leaders.
Pradesh Congress Committe has strongly condemned the Govt action and described it as unfortunate , shameful and sought clarity as to why it's leaders were not allowed to visit the damaged Shrine of Hazrat Amir Kabir RA situated at Khanqa Srinagar.
The authorities have imposed restrictions in old city areas following the killing of a TeM militant, Mugees Mir of Parimpora in a shootout yesterday evening. (KNS)
