Amid uproar over border firing, LA adjourned for 10 minutes

Omar demands assembly resolution for dialogue

Veeri reiterates commitment to restoration of Vajpayee's dialogue initiative
Jammu, Feb 05 (KNS): The uproar and sologan shouting over the army deaths in LoC firing forced Speaker Assembly Kavinder Gupta to adjourn the house for ten minutes.
According to the KNS correspondent, as the proceeding of the house started the National Conference MLA from Nagrota Devender Singh Rana raised the issue of army deaths in LoC firing and he was supported from other members of the opposition. Amid uproar over the army deaths the National Conference MLA Devender Singh Rana was shouting "where is 56 inch chest, who firing incidents don't stop on borders, BJP Sarkar Hai Hai, Modi Sarkar Hai Hai" and BJP legislators sitting on the treasury benches shouted anti-Pakistan slogans.
The opposition member went into the well of the house and Speaker Kavinder Gupta unable to silence the agitating members from both the opposition and treasury bench adjourned the house for ten minutes.
After the house resumed the proceeding the leader of the opposition Omar Abdullah demanded the passing of a resolution for immediate dialogue with Pakistan over border firings so that deaths on borders are stopped.
Responding to the demand of the opposition leader Omar Abdullah the parliamentary affairs minister Abdul Rehman Veeri told the house that dialogue is the only way to restore calm on the borders and PDP-BJP government reiterates its commitment for the resumption of the dialogue the way former Prime Minister Attal Bihari Vajpayee had initiated the process for resolution of conflicts.
