69th Republic day function held at Boys Degree College Anantnag

Haq Khan unfurls Tricolor


Anantnag, Jan 26 (KNS): 69th Republic Day Celebration function was held at Boys Degree College Anantnag with great enthusiasm and fervour today. Minister of Rural Development, Panchayat Raj, Law & Justice Abdul Haq Khan unfurled the national flag and took the salute. The march past presented by the contingents of District Police Anantnag ,District ladies police, SPO District police, IRP 11th BN ,IRP 17 th BN , CRPF 40/90/96 Bn, Fire and Emergency Services, District Home Guard, NCC cadets ,police Band Distt. Anantnag and students of different schools in junior and senior categories.
Among others, Deputy Inspector General of Police South Kashmir Range Swayam Prakash Pani IPS , Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan, Superintendent of Police Headquarters Anantnag Tahir Ashraf , DYSP DAR Anantnag shri Tanveer Ahmad and other senior officers of civil administration, Police and Paramilitary Forces besides large gathering of people from different areas attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, the Hbl Minister described that Dialogue is the only way by which the culture of violence in the state could be ended. He also added that Jammu & Kashmir Government has withdrwan many cases from the youths who were miss guideed and provided a good medium opportunity to them. He highlighted various developmental works undertaken in Kashmir division. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Government is making all out efforts to provide better civic facilities to the people.
The Hbl. Minister also highlighted various welfare schemes launched by the government and appealed people to take maximum benefit from such schemes.
On the occasion, different cultural programmes jointly organized by Departments of Information, Education, Youth Services and Sports and Academy of Cultural, Art and Languages were presented.
The Minister Abdul Haq Khan on the occasion while commending the participants also distributed prises among the winners. (KNS)
